A week-long folk festival with free pub gigs, shanty singing sessions and country dance classes is back this summer. For the 59th year, Broadstairs Folk Week will be taking over the town’s indoor and outdoor venues with 90 artists set to perform. This year, the line-up boasts music from the Canterbury-born band Oysterband, francophone folk group Le Vent du Nord and vocal five-piece Daphne’s Flight.
