A flower festival that has been running for 50 years reflected its history ‘through the ages’ and raised £1,800 in funds. Visitors to St Matthews Church in Sutton Bridge were treated to floral displays created by community groups and individuals depicting aspects of the village. Colourful creations included the history of Westmere Community Primary School with an abacus, black and white photos and wording showing its transformation through the decades.
