Ukraine have their first gold medal at the Paris Olympics onn Saturday, in women’s sabre team fencing. Led by Olga Kharlan, who won individual bronze and Ukraine’s first medal in Paris on Monday, the Ukrainians defeated South Korea 45-42. The Ukraine team trailed throughout the entire bout, but Kharlan helped secure the victory, scoring 22 total touches across the final.
