At least three police officers have been injured as violence begins to break out between rival protesters in Plymouth. Riot police with dogs have been separating members of one protest group and a Stand Up To Racism counter-protest across the street. Projectiles are said to have been thrown and scuffles have erupted as rioters break the police lines. Police say a “level of violence” has broken out during demonstrations as “arrests are ongoing”. Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We are taking action against individuals who are intent on criminality. “Arrests are ongoing.” More to follow…
