A pub was vandalised in the early hours of today (Wednesday, August 7), continuing the wave of crime seen and experienced in Newark over the past few weeks. The Wheatsheaf on Slaughterhouse Lane, Newark had its windows smashed in the early hours. A motorbike was also burned and left in the Church Gardens. The owner of the pub said in a post on Facebook: “So in the early hours of today our lovely pub got damaged by a random group of lads, smashing up anything they could. “Few other properties were damaged around the town a shopping trolley was thrown at the windows of the pub and a house nearby…
