A person suffered burns and was taken to hospital after a fire ripped through a garage and spread to a bungalow. Paramedics and fire crews were called at about 4.20pm yesterday after the blaze broke out in Market Way, Canterbury. Ambulance crews treated one person for burns and smoke inhalation. Four fire engines were at the scene, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the flames, which began to spread to the roof of an adjoining bungalow.
