One of only two remaining banks in a Fenland town centre will close for good this autumn. Lloyds Bank located on March High Street, was originally scheduled to close at the end of last year, but that was postponed. However, the banking group has now confirmed to customers the branch will close on October 29. Lloyds has announced it is closing 237 branches in 2024/25. Once the branch goes for good it will mean only Nationwide remains in the town which previously boasted at least nine different banks or building societies.
