Like many, I expected the arrival of head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup to open the doors to a summer of revolution at Carrow Road. A summer in which wholesale changes were made in order to lower the average age of the playing squad and set up to play the possession-based brand of football the Dane has built his reputation upon. But as we head into Saturday’s season opener at Oxford United, that has yet to materialise. In fact, it is entirely plausible that the line-up at the Kassam Stadium may only include one new signing.
