Around 2,000 French police will be on duty at the Olympic closing ceremony in the Stade de France on Sunday, Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin has said. US actor Tom Cruise, as part of the handover to Los Angeles 2028, and French band Air are among those expected to appear. The closing weekend of the Paris Games will be secured by around 30,000 police officers in total.
