A Newark family have thanked the public for their support after their daughter was involved in a car accident, leaving her in an induced coma. Ruby Butler, 20, was driving with her friend Gemma Mousley on the 200-mile Sunraysia Highway in Donald, Victoria, on Monday, August 5, when the incident happened. Ruby was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital having suffered severe injuries. She was placed in an induced coma with bleeds on the brain, broken ribs and a severely broken arm which required multiple operations.
