A mountain road connecting the Austrian provinces of Vorarlberg and Tyrol via the Arlberg pass in the Alps has been closed after a severe storm caused landslides, the head of the local crisis response team said on Saturday. Drivers attempting to travel between the provinces will now have to take a lengthy alternate route through the Lech Valley or through Bavaria in southern Germany.
