Manager Mark Bonner paid tribute to the character of transfer-listed Gillingham duo Oli Hawkins and George Lapslie. Both came off the bench on Saturday to help the Gills to a 1-0 League 2 win at Morecambe, Lapslie scoring the winner and Hawkins heading against the bar late on.
