The environmental organization Greenpeace reported on Tuesday that German supermarket chains have made “small improvements” in offering meat sourced from better animal farming practices. Products from the two lowest husbandry forms, levels one and two, now constitute 82.5% of the range, down from 87.4% last year. This includes 11.5% from the lowest level one, which corresponds to the legal minimum standard for livestock farming.
