HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Just as darkness fell on Monday evening, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Marine Enforcement Section utilized their new SAFE Boat to rescue boaters stranded in the bay. The distressed vessel was taking on water, had lost power, and was unable to return to shore. HCSO deputies arrived just in time, bringing the boaters safely back to the Williams Boat Ramp.
