Venezuela’s Supreme Court on Thursday said it had confirmed the victory of President Nicolás Maduro in the country’s recent elections. The electoral authority had officially declared Maduro, who has been in office since 2013, the winner of the election on July 28. However, it has yet to publish the detailed results of the individual voting districts. The Supreme Court, which is considered to be loyal to the government, had reviewed the election documents.
