The Chinese Commerce Ministry has held a meeting with car industry leaders with a view to imposing possible import tariffs on foreign vehicles. The Commerce Ministry said on Friday it had invited experts, industry associations and industry representatives to gather opinions and suggestions on increasing tariffs on imported petrol or diesel cars with large engines.
