Tokyo stocks eked out gains Wednesday after erasing earlier losses from a strong yen against the U.S. dollar, although advances were limited by caution ahead of the release of the earnings results of U.S. chip giant Nvidia Corp. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended up 83.14 points, or 0.22 percent, from Tuesday at 38,371.76. The broader Topix index finished 11.32 points, or 0.42 percent, higher at 2,692.12.
