The Fighting Irish football program will be without two freshmen for the 2024 season. On Thursday, the Notre Dame football communications team announced that safety Taebron Bennie-Powell and offensive tackle Styles Prescod had season-ending shoulder injuries. Bennie-Powell underwent surgery performed by Dr. Brian Ratigan on his left shoulder labrum. Presocd sustained a right shoulder injury and will have surgery in the coming weeks.
