Going into deadline day, Chelsea were being linked with quite a few strikers, including a couple from the Premier League. Brentford’s Ivan Toney, for example, was thought to be a target for Chelsea, but he is now close to joining Al-Ahli. Al-Ahli could also sign Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, another centre-forward who has been on the Blues’ shortlist this summer. Chelsea could yet land Osimhen but, as of now, he seems to be heading to Saudi Arabia.
