A case of West Nile virus transmitted by domestic mosquitoes has been recorded in Germany for the first time this year, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases said on Friday. Three further cases were registered in humans, but they came during travel to other countries. In the domestic case, a woman was infected by a mosquito in the Saxony-Brandenburg border area in the east of the country, authorities said.
