GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators opened the 2024 season with their rivalry renewed against No. 19 Miami. UF is hosting the Hurricanes for the first time in 16 years. Florida takes an NCAA-best, 33-game win streak in home openers into Saturday. The Gators have lost just two season openers since 1990, going 30-2 in that span. This marks the Gators’ first meeting with Miami since their 24-20 win in the 2019 opener. UF defeated the Hurricanes, 26-3, in their last trip to The Swamp in 2008.
