The German Athletics Federation (DLV) is planning a bid to host the 2029 or 2031 world championships in Munich. The DLV said on Sunday that a motion for a statement of intent was passed at the DLV assembly in Dresden. Germany hosted the worlds 1993 in Stuttgart and 2009 in Berlin. Munich’s Olympic Stadium was the venue for European championships in 2002 and 2022.
