An armed man was killed after shooting at police near the Israeli Consulate General in central Munich, Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said on Thursday. Herrmann said the man, whose identity has not yet been established, “shot at the police officers” and died after they “returned fire.” Police said none of the five officers involved in the shooting sustained injuries.
