The EU Commission has ordered Frankfurt-Hahn Airport in Germany and Irish budget airline Ryanair to repay around €15 million in state aid due to distortion of competition. The EU Commission said in Brussels Monday that Ryanair should pay back around €14 million (about $15.5 million), and the airport €1.25 million (about $1.4 million). Interest will also be due, as the decisions for the support measures were reportedly taken between 2005 and 2017.
