Saffron Summerfield entertained the Thorley U3A meeting in the Charis Centre on Monday 2 September with tales of her musical journey from Milton Keynes where she grew up to Mississippi where she learnt to play the bottle neck slide guitar (which she demonstrated brilliantly on stage). Along the way she has been on the same programme as Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Sandy Denny, Paul Simon and directly supported Leonard Cohen.
