Charities are calling on the Government to reverse its decision to means-test the Winter Fuel Payment as 1.6 million disabled pensioners face losing vital cost of living support in the coming months. Scope UK is warning that older Britons with an illness or health condition could “go without heating and forego medical treatment” in the wake of the decision.
