A drug-driver who was more than three times the limit did not know it was illegal for him to have a locking knife in his car. Dean Rose, 31, of no fixed address but from the Swaffham area, appeared at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, where he narrowly avoided jail after admitting three offences. Rose pleaded guilty to drug-driving, having a knife in his possession in a public place, and possession of 7.1g of cannabis.
