A town’s final bank branch is set to close next year – with bosses saying people are using it “much less”. Fakenham’s Lloyds branch, on Norwich Street, will shut down on May 6 next year, the bank has confirmed. A statement said that with many people now using online banking or phoning in to use services, footfall has been reduced. NatWest in the town also closed its last remaining branch last year, with the company instead operating a mobile banking facility.
