A Rotary Club donation has helped a community centre reach its £28,000 target for new flooring, writes Bartosz Kanarek. An urgent investigation in spring found St Giles Community Centre, on Main Street, Balderton, was rotten, and even had standing water after recent heavy rain. As a result the hall had to be closed immediately because of the safety risk.
