German Chancellor Olaf Scholz says he is counting on the recently adopted UN Pact of the Future to create new trust in the United Nations. “At a time of great tension and uncertainty, we need the Pact for the Future more than ever,” the German leader said in a speech, given in English, at a New York summit of all 193 UN states.
