POLK COUNTY, Fla. \- The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating two major crashes that occurred on Sunday evening, September 22nd, 2024. The first crash occurred in the Frostproof area on Alturas Babson Park Cutoff Road near US 27. Deputies responded to the scene at approximately 8:21 p.m. At least two vehicles were involved, and six people were injured and transported to hospitals.
