LG Electronics showcased its webOS technology at PAX West, the largest gaming event in the United States. Visitors were able to experience webOS Gaming on LG’s smart devices, including its critically acclaimed OLED TVs, at LG’s booth (2301) in the Seattle Convention Center, Arch Building.

WebOS Gaming zone: everything gamers need in one place

Over 4,000 high-quality cloud games and more than 500 casual games were on display, offering fun and unique experiences that can be played with LG’s Magic Remote. Visitors could experience webOS Gaming in action with new and upcoming releases.

AAA gaming zone: no console, no PC

LG teamed up with NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Blacknut, and Amazon Luna to demonstrate how the webOS Gaming platform simplifies access to cloud gaming services and supports the latest popular AAA games. Visitors were able to play such hits as Star Wars Outlaws, Cyberpunk 2077, Black Myth: Wukong, Cuphead, and others.

Casual games zone: no worries, more fun

This zone featured popular games in collaboration with Famobi, such as Overcooked! 2, Cut The Rope, and Thief Puzzle. PAX West attendees were able to play a variety of hyper-casual games designed for easy and fun gaming. They learned that webOS Gaming supports a bunch of casual games on LG’s lifestyle devices such as StanbyME and StanbyME Go, as well as touchscreen car games with cross-device compatibility.

Developer zone: your games, your rules

This zone became an environment for the development of interactive games and presented webOS Gaming as a universal platform for developers that supports a webRTC camera, embedded advertising, payment systems, APIs for movements and voice commands, as well as Flutter and HTML5 software. Thanks to webOS Gaming, developers can connect gaming peripherals such as gamepads, keyboards, mice, haptic suits, etc.

New gaming services are regularly launched on LG TV, such as the upcoming Now-Cafe, a new type of user-generated application from now.gg that will be available through cloud gaming.
