One person was killed and 14 others injured in a car race crash in Lithuania on Friday evening, police said on Saturday. According to eyewitnesses, a driver lost control of his car at a sharp bend during a rally in Utena and drove into a group of spectators. According to Lithuanian media reports, hay bales on which the direction of the turn was marked had been knocked over by other vehicles beforehand. The authorities launched an investigation and the remainder of the race, organized by a local motorsports club, was cancelled.
