LSU freshman running back Caden Durham needed just two plays into the Week 5 matchup with South Alabama to not only score a touchdown, but take both a catch and a pass for more than 150 total yards. On the first snap of the game, LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier found Durham in the backfield, and the speedy running back out of Texas did the rest. Durham took the short pass 71 yards for a touchdown to put LSU up 7-0. After a three-and-out forced by the LSU defense, the Tigers went back to Durham again to start drive No. 2.
