Around 4,000 residents of Burghfield and Mortimer are set to have a full fibre broadband connection by the end of the month, writes Amy Cowan. Gigaclear, the Abingdon-based communications provider, has been upgrading communication infrastructure in rural England, and Burghfield is the next to benefit. Work began in June 2023, with engineers extending Ufton Nervet and Stratfield Mortimer’s network using fibre optic cables.
