Three Counties Running Club member Simon Killen took on the Thames Path 100k Ultra Marathon. The 62.1 miles is a beautiful route, starting at Bishop’s Park, London, and following the riverside to Henley. Killen said the route was very hard-going, as it was a mixture of dirt tracks, grass and gravel. The weather was ideal for the runners with it being very dry and mild with a little wind. Somehow, Killen managed to miss a couple of turnings at the bridge-crossings which cost him a sub-nine-hour finish which he was hoping to achieve.
