Japan’s new Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is scheduled to hold his first meeting with Bank of Japan chief Kazuo Ueda from 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, the political leader’s office said. Ishiba and Ueda are likely to exchange views on the recent economic and financial situations, an official of the prime minister’s office said.
