Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko signed the loan agreement with the Export-Import Bank of Korea. The loan marks the first financial aid from South Korea to be directed to Ukraine’s state budget. The loan is provided for 20 years with an annual interest rate of 1.0% and an interest-free five-year grace period. The ministry noted that in April, the governments of Ukraine and South Korea signed an agreement allowing Kyiv to secure Korean loans totaling $2.1 billion between 2024 and 2029.
