The Ministry of Digital Transformation has appointed Luukas Ilves as an advisor to the minister who will deal with e-government and the introduction of artificial intelligence.
This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
According to him, Luukas Ilves is one of the main experts in digital technologies and cybersecurity in Estonia. Since January 2022, he has worked as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Estonian government. It’s like the country’s CIO.
Luukas has been managing Estonia’s digital projects for the past few years. The main areas of work include the secure implementation of cloud technologies and the development of e-government.
“We are now joining forces – Luukas Ilves has become my advisor. The main focus of his work will be the future of e-government: process automation, civil service transformation, and the introduction of artificial intelligence,” Fedorov said.
In his opinion, Ukraine will get the world’s first AI government. And an Estonian expert will help with this.
“I am glad to work with the top experts in my field. I am grateful to Lucas Ilves for his cooperation – we have a lot of work ahead of us,” the official added.
