The United States has lost some of its popularity as a destination for German emigrants, according to official figures released on Friday. Germany’s Federal Statistical Office says that just under 9,200 Germans moved to the United States in 2023. With the exception of the pandemic years, the number of German emigrants to the United States is now at its lowest level in the past 20 years.
