Germany’s only penguin museum is selling its collection, which it says is the largest of its kind in the world, before closing down in early November. The museum’s owners, the couple Birgit Berends and Stefan Kirchhoff, have been collecting penguin paraphernalia for 30 years. Having run the museum since 2009, they are finally closing up shop. “We also have day jobs, and that is just eating us up. We haven’t had a weekend off in 15 years.
