Japan midfielder Ritsu Doan broke the deadlock with a solo effort in the 75th minute, leading Freiburg to a 1-0 win away to Bremen in the German Bundesliga on Saturday. Receiving the ball near the right touchline, Doan dribbled into the area and fired a shot between two defenders for his third goal of the season. Freiburg got back to winning ways and moved up to third in the table with 12 points from six matches. Among other Japanese players in Germany, Shuto Machino played only the first half for Kiel, who erased a two-goal deficit to earn a 2-2 draw at Leverkusen.
