Yakult Swallows slugger Munetaka Murakami has sustained a broken right big toe, the Central League club said Sunday. The fracture will require two to three months to recover, according to the Swallows, making it all but certain that the 24-year-old third baseman will miss November’s Premier12 international tournament.
