The latest figures on EU unemployment are out, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. The bad news is that 13 million people — 5.9% of the bloc’s population — are still unemployed. The good news is the trend is stable, and unemployment actually went down by 0.1% in August compared to June and July. Spain (11.3%), Greece (9.5%), and Sweden (8.4%) have the highest unemployment rates. These three countries also have the highest rates of unemployment in women.
