The sentiment among businesses in Germany’s key machinery manufacturing and chemical sectors has deteriorated further, according to two new separate surveys released on Wednesday. Some 37% of machinery makers questioned by industry association VDMA rated their situation as poor or very poor, up from 26% six months ago.
