TAMPA, Fla. \- Record rainfall from Hurricane Milton has overwhelmed a critical pump station in Hillsborough County, leading to severe flooding in the University Community area. The Duck Pond pump station, located near the University of South Florida, is the County’s largest stormwater facility, designed to protect the area from flooding during major storms.
