A former correctional officer at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia (FDC) was sentenced to three years of probation, including six months of home detention, and fined $5,000 for smuggling mobile phones into the prison. Lee E. Moore, Jr., 36, of Sicklerville, New Jersey, pleaded guilty to the charges. Moore admitted to smuggling phones into the FDC between May and June 2020 in exchange for payments from an inmate’s wife.
