The Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, has confirmed that they are in touch with the Nigerian Mission in Libya, over the stranded Super Eagles players. The Nigerian players and coaches has been held hostage at the Al Abraq Airport over 15 hours after arrival in Libya. The delegation are in the North African country for a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Mediterranean Knights.
