Borussia Dortmund managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke has refuted accusations from politicians that football has a major problem with fan violence. “I think that the football experience is very peaceful,” Watzke, who’s also chairman of the German Football League (DFL) supervisory board, told dpa ahead of a meeting on security at football matches on Friday.
