Tokyo stocks were higher Monday morning, as buying of tech issues following rises in their U.S. counterparts late last week offset selling amid caution ahead of earnings from major Japanese companies. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 129.20 points, or 0.33 percent, from Friday to 39,110.95. The broader Topix index was up 1.01 points, or 0.04 percent, at 2,689.99.
